Please be aware that using unofficial products with your mobile phone may invalidate your phone's manufacturer's Warranty. GSM city is not responsible for any damage caused to your phone.
Unlocking is legal in most countries; customers receiving any unlocking services are required to check local laws before purchasing. GSM city is not responsible for any law infringements made by its customers.
Blocked phones: GSM city do not unblock phones that are reported lost/stolen. All unlocking services and equipment unlock the phones, but if the phone is blocked you need to contact your operator to find out why, as this is can only be rectified by your service provider. Full details on the difference below...
UNLOCK means to open your phone from its original network; so you can use any other network or use it abroad. This is legal and can be done here at GSM city or by calling your original network provider.
Remember phone MUST work on its original network before unlocking.
UNBLOCK means to open your phone while your phone has been blacklisted by the original network provider due to the following reasons:
- Reported Lost or Stolen
- Contract Cancelled
- Monthly bills outstanding
The network provider then puts the serial number (the IMEI number for the phone) on a shared blacklist database. This list stops any phone on it from registering on any network. The phone is now no good to anyone; it should NOT be bought for spare parts and it is a criminal offence to handle it. If you find such a phone it should be handed in to the police so that it can be returned to the owner as he or she may have some important numbers, text messages or pictures etc. in the memory of the mobile phone.
GSM city only UNLOCK mobile phones and we DO NOT UNBLOCK mobile phones!
